About Rome and Florence.

Went to Italy for the first time in the beginning of this December, to end up well this year, and it is definitely a country worth visiting and to always return. I only been to Rome and Florence this time, for only 4 days, but here’s my honest thoughts about these beautiful cities based on my personal experience.

You need time to know Rome’s true essence. It’s like meeting someone for the first time and not having the right impression, but as soon as you give a second chance, you start to like them, you know? And that’s what I personally felt with Rome. I was impressed to see a city full of layers and layers of different periods of history; each corner is history. A city with beautiful spots to capture, you really need some time to appreciate some of the things your eyes will cross trough your long walks in the city… and obviously great food and wine. I also had the chance to meet up with a local there and take a few photos of her, so I just want to take the opportunity here to say “thank you” to Carina.

My time in Florence was very limited but worth visiting. I only spent a few hours there, because me and my friends had this spontaneous idea to just rent a car and visit Florence (and at night, we also stopped by Pisa to see the tower). Even in the rain Florence stole my heart, and it’s obvious that I will come back sooner or later. And since it was raining a lot, we had the chance to visit a museum there, and not only walk by those beautiful streets with an umbrella. Which is kinda cool, not gonna lie, I felt like I was in a movie.

So, this is just my short kind of review only based on my personal experience of Rome and Florence. Definitely I’m coming back, and explore more cities. Honestly, I would love to explore that whole country. I mean… who doesn’t want to explore Italy? So, yeah. I hope you like these photos all taken with 35mm film. I used only Kodak Portra 400 this time… And I think that’s it for now. Thank you for reading all of these words and for always supporting my work.

With love,
Catarina
